Shawn Burger received his Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1998 from Loma Linda University; furthering his experience by obtaining his clinical doctorate from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth MN. Dr. Burger has been recognized has having advanced training and certifications in the areas of strength and conditioning, spinal manipulative therapies as well as over a decade of skill in providing instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). Shawn’s doctorate dissertation researched home exercise program (HEP) compliance and adherence studies (HEPs) and this research led to his dissertation on how to improve results when dosing HEPs Having been a practicing clinician for nearly twenty years, Dr. Burger has practiced inside and outside Burger Physical Therapy, a family run organization; having practiced in acute, LTAC, skilled nursing and outpatient realms with organizations such as Kindred, Dignity, UC-Davis & Vibra Hospitals. When not in the clinic, Dr. Burger has the privilege of being a guest lecturer across North America, teaching at universities, along with public and private healthcare systems in the areas of rehab delivery and patient interventions; he is asked to teach on average, twenty weekends per year.
