David Sofer’s reputation for clinical excellence and dedication to the Physical Therapy profession have established him as a prominent and respected member of New York’s Physical Therapy community. His commitment to his patients and profession go beyond the clinic. Dr. Sofer is a former 2 term Chapter Director for the New York Physical Therapy Association, an adjunct assistant professor in the SUNY Downstate Physical Therapy Program, a leading advocate for patients’ rights and a board member of the Alliance of Independent Physical Therapists. David graduated from the University at Buffalo Physical Therapy Program in 2000 earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy through the Evidence in Motion educational institution in 2012. He enjoys taking advanced clinical education courses and continuously evolving his treatment strategies.
Meghna Kanakia, PT is licensed to practice in the state of New York and has been practicing over for eighteen years. She has experience in the treatment of various outpatient orthopedic, geriatric, neurological and post-surgical cases at utilizing a variety of interventions including Manual therapy, Mobilization, Neurodynamics, Taping and Motor Control Re-learning. Over the years she has honed her skills as a physical therapist through various continuing education courses. Her favorite part about what she does, is being able to help people with their pains and difficulties and improve their quality of life. When not working, she enjoys traveling and reading.
Luke Dixon PT, DPT is licensed to practice in the state of New York and has been practicing for three years. He has experience in the treatment of a range of orthopedics and sports injuries in patients of all ages and backgrounds, as well as in post-operative and geriatric care. Luke is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Movement System Impairment Syndromes, and as a motivated student of Physical Therapy, is currently seeking numerous additional certifications such as in Kinesiotape and Manual Therapy. Luke uses manual and non-manual techniques to encourage motor-relearning and optimize movement patterns to improve posture and address pain and dysfunction. Luke is passionate about learning and the human body, and is interested in Physical Therapy as a means to teach people how to move better to improve their quality of life.
