Clinic Director Dr. Lauren Bachand, PT, DPT, MTC, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2015 and is now the clinic director and a physical therapist at our Attleboro location. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at URI, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy there as well. While attending URI, she participated in their URI Broadening experience and traveled to Guatemala twice to help rehabilitate adults and children with various neurological disabilities. Since graduating she has earned a manual therapy certification from Evidence in Motion and has been certified in dry needling. She has expertise in orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, balance disorders and injury prevention, as well as in working with pediatric patients.
PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr. Farmer, PT, DPT, CSCS has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since October 2016 as a physical therapist. He received an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Rochester in 2013 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Emory University School of Medicine in 2016. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, has been trained in dry needling, and has completed the Evidence in Motion Orthopedic Residency. Dr. Farmer serves on the Clinical Standards Committee at Performance Physical Therapy, and his research while at Emory was published in Neuroscience Letters in February 2017. Dr. Farmer specializes in sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, pediatrics, and treating patients who are Deaf or use American Sign Language. He has volunteered in the medical tent at various events like the Marine Corps Marathon.
