Megan Marcello

PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO

Megan Marcello, MSPT, OCS, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2011 as a Physical Therapist at our East Greenwich location. She has an undergraduate degree in Rehabilitative Science and a Masters in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. She is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, is certified in dry needling, and is an American Physical Therapist Association member. She’s a clinical instructor for physical therapy students. Marcello specializes in orthopedic, neurological and post-surgical rehabilitation, functional dry needling, sports rehabilitation, pediatric physical therapy and concussion management.

Steven Alden

Dr. Steven W. Alden, PT, DPT, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2015 as a physical therapist at our East Greenwich location. Dr. Alden received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island During his time at URI, Dr. Alden spent two weeks in Guatemala volunteering at a clinic. Since graduation, he has earned a certification in dry needling. Dr. Alden uses his knowledge and experience to benefit his community by volunteering to teach balance and posture classes at the East Greenwich senior center, and teaching diabetes and exercise education classes. He has also volunteered with Special Olympics. Dr. Alden specializes in orthopedics, manual therapy, sports injuries, balance training and spinal rehabilitation.

Danielle Moreau

Dr. Danielle Moreau, PT, DPT, Joined Performance Physical Therapy’s East Greenwich location in 2018. Dr. Moreau received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018 from the University of Rhode Island, after graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2014 with a Bachelor of science in Phycology. Since then, she has completed additional training with Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Certified Pelvic Floor Level 1 and Level 2A. Although Dr. Moreau already has a clinical expertise in Women's and Men's Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, she wants to take that even further and complete the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute's Pelvic Floor Series, become trigger point dry needling certified and complete a residency in orthopedics. Dr. Moreau is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association in addition to a chapter membership with the Orthopedics Section and the Section of Women's Health, a member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Rhode Island Women's Health Special Interest Group, and the Rhode Island Physical Therapy Legislative Action Committee.

Andrew Horton

Clinic Director Dr. Andrew Horton, DPT, OCS, CSCS, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since July 2010 and is now the clinic director and a physical therapist at the Richmond location. Dr. Horton has an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology at UMass Lowell and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Horton brings a wealth of experience to Performance Physical Therapy, including clinical expertise in orthopedics, spine rehabilitation, sports injuries, dry needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, fitness, wellness and injury prevention. He’s also a member of the APTA.

Alison O'Brien

PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO

Dr. Alison O’Brien has worked with Performance Physical Therapy’s Richmond location since 2018. Dr. O’Brien joined PPT after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Keene State College in 2015, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 2018. During her time at URI, she traveled to Tampa, Florida for a sports medicine trip and volunteered on the medical team at the Disney Marathon. Dr. O’Brien also had the opportunity to travel to Guatemala to volunteer and learn about physical therapy and their overall healthcare system. Dr. O’Brien spent her college years as an AFAA group exercise instructor, and each year volunteered at the Rhode Island Special Olympics. Dr. O'Brien is excited to bring her clinical expertise in general orthopedics, geriatrics, and balance training to Performance, and looks forward to helping patients on their road to recovery.
