Greg Doucette

PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO

Greg Doucette, MSPT, OCS, who started with Performance Physical Therapy in 2013, is a partner, physical therapist, and the clinic director at our East Providence location. Doucette has both an undergraduate degree in Health Science Studies (’04) and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (’06) from Quinnipiac University. He is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, an American Physical Therapy Association member, and he is certified in functional dry needling. Doucette specializes in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, functional dry needling, post-operative and total joint rehabilitation, and rehabilitation of the knee, shoulder, and spine. With over 12 years of clinical experience, Doucette is passionate about patient education and the importance of core stability for sound functional movement.

Melissa Nassaney

PT, MS, DPT

Dr. Melissa Nassaney, PT, MS, DPT, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2017 as a physical therapist at our East Greenwich location and the Director for Women’s and Men’s Health & Pelvic Rehab. Dr. Nassaney has an associate’s degree from CCRI through their physical therapy assistant program, a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She is board certified in Women’s Health Physical Therapy and has received a certification of achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy Program Levels I, II and III. Dr. Nassaney is also a member of the Women’s Health Council of RI, and the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Nassaney specializes in women’s and men’s pelvic health, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, menopausal and perimenopausal women, pre-natal and post-partum therapy, manual therapy and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Chelsea Sweetman

Dr. Chelsea Sweetman, PT, DPT, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2018 as a physical therapist position at the East Providence location. Hailing from Richmond, Rhode Island, Dr. Sweetman received an undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire and then headed back to RI to get a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. While at URI, she spent two weeks as a volunteer in Guatemala providing physical therapy service to youth. Dr. Sweetman specializes in general and post-surgical orthopedics, sports injuries and pediatrics.

Danielle Moreau

Dr. Danielle Moreau, PT, DPT, Joined Performance Physical Therapy’s East Greenwich location in 2018. Dr. Moreau received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018 from the University of Rhode Island, after graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2014 with a Bachelor of science in Phycology. Since then, she has completed additional training with Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Certified Pelvic Floor Level 1 and Level 2A. Although Dr. Moreau already has a clinical expertise in Women's and Men's Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, she wants to take that even further and complete the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute's Pelvic Floor Series, become trigger point dry needling certified and complete a residency in orthopedics. Dr. Moreau is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association in addition to a chapter membership with the Orthopedics Section and the Section of Women's Health, a member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Rhode Island Women's Health Special Interest Group, and the Rhode Island Physical Therapy Legislative Action Committee.
