Marek is a president of Physical Therapy and Feldenkrais NYC, member of the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network. He is a co-founder of the Feldenkrais Foundation and the Feldenkrais Institute of New York. A former supervisor of The New York Pain Treatment Program at Lenox Hill Hospital,Marek worked with Dr. Hans Kraus (pioneer of sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation and trigger-point therapy). For 28 years, Marek has worked with people suffering from pain, orthopedic, and neurological problems; as well as athletes and performing artists. He has published articles in medical journals and leads continuing education courses designed specifically to “bridge” the complimentary worlds of PhysicalTherapy and the Feldenkrais Method®.

Kasia is a licensed physical therapist and senior Feldenkrais® practitioner with over 25 years of clinical experience helping clients with a variety of orthopedic and neurological issues, pain, or movement problems. Kasia's interest in the Feldenkrais Method® has been a lifelong quest to understand how we move and function in the world. She successfully used the study of the method to solve a persistent sciatica problem developed during pregnancy and while caring for her infant son. This personal journey sparked an interest in working with women on a variety of health issues. Her goal is to guide her clients to more ease and comfort of moving, living, and being. Kasia expertly combines her understanding of anatomy, physiology, Feldenkrais Method, and principals of mindfulness practice.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO

Valerie a licensed Physical Therapy and Senior Feldenkrais® Practitioner with over 25 years of clinical experience. She started her physical therapy career at the Rusk Institute in New York, and worked in private physical therapy practices including Bradley & Monson before joining our practice. Her professional interest is to integrate the Feldenkrais Method® movement philosophy into her treatment of neurological and orthopedic patients. Valerie became interested in physical therapy because of her interest in anatomy, movement, dance and music.

- Private, one-hour individual sessions with our posture and movement experts. All of our physical therapists hold a minimum of 25 years of clinical experience.

- The practice has an HSS Advance Hip Clinician on premises.

- Safe and pain-free rehabilitation after surgery, closely following your physician’s recommendation and treatment protocols.

- Post-rehabilitation wellness center offering public group classes, workshops, and private Feldenkrais lessons.
