Lacey received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University in 2010 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Bradley University in 2013. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Lacey is from Farmington, IL and now resides in Canton, IL. Outside of work, Lacey enjoys “junque” shopping/antiquing, flea market lollygagging, bargain hunting and transforming her “junque” for her side business: The Junque Doctor. Lacey also enjoys entertaining, baking cupcakes/cakes, gardening, traveling to the beach, swimming, golfing and spending time with her friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews. Why did you become a physical therapist? I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare but I didn’t even know about the physical therapy field until I went to college. Fascinated with Anatomy and Physiology, I feel physical therapy found me while I was working my way as a Biology major. Once I figured out what physical therapy involved, it was a perfect fit. I first started out as a Physical Therapy Assistant due to the affordability and later worked towards my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I love everything the career has offered me. Helping people live their best lives feeds and renews my spirt on a daily basis. And, there is always room for development and growth in finding new ways to “fix” people so the work never becomes stagnant.
