Brian Tababa

PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO

Dr. Brian Tababa graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University. Dr. Tababa has experience in outpatient orthopedic, sub-acute and hospital-based rehabilitation settings. Brian also has martial arts experience and is an instructor in Union, New Jersey. He attributes his knowledge on human movement, correct body mechanics and injury prevention to his background in Physical Therapy and martial arts. Brian strives to make every patient interaction individualized and professional in order to provide the best patient care possible. Dr. Tababa also strives to use his past experiences and the most current research to help patients achieve their goals.

Patrick Pereira

Dr. Patrick Pereira graduated from Seton Hall University’s dual degree program earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree and Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. He has experience in outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities, geriatric communities, and school-based pediatrics. Patrick has a passion for assisting patients with a wide range of challenges from sports related injuries to those with neurological impairments. Patrick grew up locally in Cranford, NJ and chose to join the AmeriCare PT team to help those in the local community. He currently plays and helps train athletes on his men’s soccer team, enjoys going on hikes, volunteering, and spending time with his family. Patrick also speaks Portuguese and Spanish.

Veronica Bernardo

Dr. Bernardo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and minor in Science, Technology, and Society from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with an Advanced Research Certificate from Rutgers School of Health Professions. Veronica has experience in outpatient orthopedics, hospital based acute care rehabilitation, and pediatric orthopedic and neurological populations. She is also fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish. In her spare time, Veronica enjoys hiking, playing board games, embroidering, and reading.

Annette Krell

MS, OTR, CHT

Annette Krell received her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from the College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia University. Upon graduation, she began working at the Manhattan V.A. Medical Center where she developed the Hand Therapy Program. From there, she accepted a position at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery and treated patients requiring complex reconstructive surgery. As a Board Certified Hand Therapy specialist, Annette Krell has taught Occupational Therapy on the graduate school level and mentored many students along the way. She has worked in the community providing Hand Therapy services at orthopedic outpatient clinics for the past 20 years.

Giselle Rivera

Giselle Rivera graduated from Kean University with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care rehabilitation and long-term care for adults with traumatic brain injuries. Giselle first realized a passion for Occupational Therapy while spending a summer interning at a community based pediatric occupational therapy practice. This passion grew to include orthopedic upper extremity conditions and led to a focus on hand therapy during her graduate studies. Her interests include upper extremity diagnoses, conservative management and post-op care and splint fabrication.
