Theresa Feeley

imgTheresa Feeley

Theresa earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Seton Hall University in 2007. She started her career working at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, doing rotations in the brain trauma and spinal cord units, as well as running the inpatient amputee program. She then transitioned into outpatient Physical Therapy in 2010. During that time, she also taught Kinesiology and Exercise Science labs for several semesters for Seton Hall’s physical therapy program. Theresa loves the dynamic aspect and diversity of outpatient PT. After the birth of her second baby, Theresa began to take more interest in Women’s Health topics after feeling like the musculoskeletal care from her OBGYN during pregnancy and after birth was incomplete. Since then she continued her education in areas including prenatal, postpartum, and pelvic floor care. Theresa feels strongly about women having healthy pregnancies, and being able to get back into their previous activities after delivery. There is also a lot required for caring for a newborn (car seats, positioning, nursing postures), which is physical and can sometimes be painful or difficult after delivery. Theresa completed her 200 hour yoga teaching certification earlier this year. Yoga is extremely healing, and offers a mind body connection that is different from everyday activities or other forms of exercise. When performed safely and properly, yoga can be a way to address balance, flexibility, functional movements and overall core/body strength for people of all ages and actiy levels. With yoga there are many modifications to make it accessible everyone, including those recovering from injuries, in chronic pain or working towards daily fitness goals. Theresa wants to make yoga feel safe and accessible for people with injuries and those that have never tried it before.

He had graduated from Lebanon Valley College with his undergraduate in Health Sciences and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Andrew is now working towards his Certified Orthopedic Manipulative Therapist Certificate (COMT) through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual therapy (NAIOMT) and practicing in an outpatient orthopedic clinic.
