Kara Chace

Dr. Kara Chace is the clinical director and a physical therapist at our Pawtucket location. Dr. Chace received an undergraduate degree in in Athletic Training from the University of New England 2003. While working as a licensed athletic trainer for West Warwick High School’s and Brown University’s track and field and rugby teams, she earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island, where she was given the Faculty Recognition Award upon graduation. Dr. Chace specializes in general and post-surgical orthopedics and sports injuries, concussions, and dry needling. Since graduating, she has gained certifications in functional dry needling and hippotherapy, which is the use of horseback riding as a therapeutic or rehabilitative treatment, especially as a means of improving coordination, balance, and strength. She is an American Physical Therapy Association member and a clinical instructor.

Michael Glassman

Dr. Michael Glassman, DPT has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2017 as a physical therapist position at the Pawtucket location. He has a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education with a Concentration in Exercise Science from Bridgewater State University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from MCPHS University. At MCPHS, he received the Capstone Award of Excellence, and Dr. Glassman is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and he has studied the effects of standing desks versus traditional sitting desks in the office worker population. A former college football player, Dr. Glassman first experienced physical therapy in 2009 as a patient. After suffering an ACL tear, he successfully returned to play three years of college football and he remains active today. He now strives to recreate his success with physical therapy for all of his patients. He has expertise in sports injuries, orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation, ergonomics, and work hardening

Bobby Dattilo

Dr. Bobby Dattilo is a physical therapist from Derry, NH. A Division I All-American in Lacrosse for the Hobart Statesmen, Bobby went on to play four years of professional Lacrosse with the Rochester Rattlers and Ohio Machine. Bobby started with Performance Physical Therapy in 2017 as a physical therapist at the Division Street/Pawtucket location. He received an undergraduate degree in biology from Hobart College and a graduate doctorate of physical therapy degree from MCPHS. He is a member of the American Physical Therapist Association – Orthopedic section and joined the Evidence in Motion orthopedic residency program in January 2017. Dr. Dattilo specializes in acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, post-surgical conditions, manual therapy, sports-related injuries, fitness and injury prevention. He currently provides strength and conditioning training for local RI high schools, and also hosts individual and group face-off clinics for youth and high school lacrosse players.

Jean Paul Aracena, DPT, has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2018 as a physical therapist at the Pawtucket location. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Adapted Physical Activity and Health from the University of Playa Ancha, Chile. He also specialized in Sports for the Disabled at the University of Leipzig, Germany before moving to the USA to get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College. Dr. Aracena has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association's Orthopedic Section since 2015 and has expertise in general orthopedics as well as pediatrics.

Richard Letrero

Richard has worked with Performance Physical Therapy since 2016 as a physical therapist at our Woonsocket location. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. He has researched a number of physical therapy and healthcare topics, including published research on melanoma, and he both worked with and studied that effect of physical therapy group project he completed on the effect of aquatic exercise on balance in people who have Parkinson’s Disease. While at URI, he assisted in providing group therapy treatment to people with Parkinson’s. He has also helped educate the community: he’s provided posture-related education to seniors and he helped develop a morning exercise program for people working at Modine Manufacturing in West Kingston, to help them avoid on-the-job injuries. Dr. Letrero specializes in general and post-surgical orthopedics.
