PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO
Dr. Crystal Parker is a physical therapist at the Renue Physical Therapy clinic inside the Greater Midland Community Center. She has been practicing physical therapy since 2009 upon her graduation from The University of Michigan. Prior to Renue, Crystal practiced in a hospital-based environment for nearly ten years where she gained valuable experience, including orthopedics with focus on musculoskeletal disorders. Crystal uses an integrative treatment model that combines functional movement assessment, treatment of vestibular disorders, evidenced-based practice and hands-on manual treatment to provide the best standard of care and achieve optimal outcomes for her patients. She is also ImPACT trained to treat concussions. Crystal received her Manual Therapy Certification through the University of St. Augustine in 2021. Trained manual therapists use their hands to diagnose delicate, subtle changes in muscles and connecting tissues, to evaluate what is causing pain or limitations.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO
Dr. Alicia Heading is the managing partner at Renue - Midland and the Renue Physical Therapy clinics inside Primrose Retirement Community and Greater Midland Community Center. Alicia has been treating patients in the Mid-Michigan region since 2007. She received her doctorate in physical therapy and undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University. Alicia holds a Certification in Applied Functional Science and uses an integrative treatment model that combines functional movement assessment, evidenced-based practice, and manual treatment to provide the best standard of care and achieve optimal outcomes for her patients. Alicia has additional training in dry needling techniques and has received Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certification to assess and treat undesirable movement patterns affecting golf swing mechanics. Her focus is on orthopedic injury/treatment, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation and neurologic disorders.
