David Endres is the co-founder of SPEAR Physical Therapy, Head of SPEAR Project Management and is the Chief Clinical Compliance Officer. After graduating from Touro College with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, Dave worked for the NYC Board of Education treating children with severe physical disabilities and gaining extensive experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting. He now concentrates his practice in orthopedics, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and the treatment of sports injury. Dave has varied experience in competitive sports on a recreational, inter-collegiate and professional level. Before starting his physical therapy graduate studies, Dave played numerous professional squash tournaments throughout the Northeast and worked as a teaching pro in NYC. He now continues to play squash recreationally and has coupled his knowledge of technique with expertise in biomechanics to effectively treat and prevent injury in the players of all levels. He has worked with the Squash Tournament of Champions in Grand Central Terminal and treats local and visiting PSA/SDA players on a regular basis. Dave has a strong passion for family, the outdoors and life. He spends most of his free time surfing, skiing, bike riding and attending his sons sporting events.

Tom Anderson PT , DPT, CSCS

Tom earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from Springfield College and his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from Binghamton University. Throughout his clinical experiences he gained exposure to a wide variety of patient populations, including ICU, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neuro, and orthopedic/sports. During his clinical experience, Tom developed a passion for providing the highest quality evidence-based care. He believes in a holistic treatment approach and that patient education is the most powerful tool that physical therapists possess. Tom’s clinical interests include orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and loves promoting health and wellness to everyone around him. In his free time, Tom enjoys biking, hiking, playing recreational sports, and spending time with his friends and family. Tom also frequently participates in competitive powerlifting, with personal records of 580 lbs. squat, 330 lbs. bench press, and 667 lbs. deadlift.

Jacinthe Duvinage, PT, DPT

Jacinthe earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Long Island University. Before moving to New York, Jacinthe lived in Southern California where she earned an Associate's degree in Applied Health, Nutrition, and Kinesiology from MiraCosta College and a Bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine. Jacinthe has worked with patients of all ages in a range of rehabilitation settings, including outpatient, acute, and sub-acute. Her clinical experience includes management of a variety of orthopedic conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and sports injuries. Jacinthe values building strong relationships with her patients to understand their unique therapeutic goals and build effective individualized rehab programs. In her free time, Jacinthe loves to run short and long distances, lift weights, hike, and go on road trips. She participates regularly in local races and enjoys volunteering for the NYC Marathon.

Matthew Hosokawa, PT, DPT

Matt earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago and his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Matt began the first three years of his clinical practice in Chicago, treating a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical orthopedic conditions. He practiced physical therapy for five years in Los Angeles before eventually moving to New York City. Matt’s clinical interests include orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, and gait analysis for runners. He has extensive experience treating patients who have undergone arthroscopic procedures for the spine and the joints of the arms and legs. Matt has a passion for helping patients reach their goals and improve their overall health and wellness. In his free time, Matt enjoys long-distance running, weightlifting, snowboarding, hiking, playing team sports and spending time with his friends and family. Matt is a fan of Chicago’s sports teams, including the Bears, Blackhawks, Cubs/White Sox and Bulls.

Brooke earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Master’s degree in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science from the University of Delaware. She also received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Miami. Brooke’s interest in physical therapy began when she was young; she always had a passion for science and a desire to apply this interest to helping others. She views the relationship between a physical therapist and a patient to be much like a team. Every individual is different and requires a unique exercise prescription in order to improve their quality of life. Brooke takes the time to truly listen to her patients and develop an appropriate plan that addresses each person’s concerns, goals, and aspirations for the future.Brooke is originally from Bucks County, PA. She recently moved to New York from Phoenix, AZ, where she was working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic treating a wide range of diagnoses. Her clinical experience includes working in the areas of geriatrics, post-operative rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, low back pain, total joint replacement, sports medicine, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain. Additionally, Brooke is certified with LSVT BIG, a program that utilizes evidence-based research and is specifically designed to work with patients who have a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.In her free time, Brooke enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, traveling the world, and hiking. She has a passion for exercise, nature, and animals.

Patrick Watson

Patrick Watson is the Clinical Director of SPEAR’s Midtown – East 56th Street location. Patrick received his Bachelor’s degree in Community Health from Hofstra University and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College. Patrick focuses on the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries. Over his career, Patrick has personally experienced a wide range of injuries, which required him to go to physical therapy, each time returning to play lacrosse. These experiences lead Patrick to realize that PT was a profession that would allow him to have a positive effect on others. This valuable experience, coupled with the personal insight of the required hard work and partnership between the patient and physical therapist, is leading to his patients’ success and excellent results. The application of his physical therapy education to patient treatment demonstrates that successful physical therapy plans consist of a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to assist patients to return to optimal levels of function and reach their goals.

Sebastian Altomarino, PT, DPT

Sebastian received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. During his academic experience, Sebastian worked in a myriad of facilities & rehab centers. He completed his final rotation at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS with a focus on tactile military orthopedic conditions & inpatient rehabilitation. Sebastian is a native of Queens. Prior to playing Division I Soccer at Sacred Heart University, Sebastian played for Archbishop Molloy High School & was a player for the New York Cosmos Development Academy. Sebastian’s exposure to the melting pot of NYC led to his interest in a profession with a common “language” – that common language was exercise & movement. Sebastian’s involvement in volunteering, sports, & academia guided him to pursue a career in health. He explored different physical therapy settings & was instantly attracted to a career in which individuals start living a better life.

Sean obtained both his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Misericordia University in Northeastern Pennsylvania. During his studies, Sean participated in various leadership positions, earning him recognition from his peers and the faculty. While completing his Doctorate degree, Sean engaged in international service in Jamaica, and studied abroad in Costa Rica. Sean’s doctoral research focused on the utilization of Yoga for the management of acute and chronic low back pain. Sean’s passion for physical therapy began with a positive experience visiting a SPEAR Physical Therapy clinic as a teenager. Sean was inspired by the vibrant atmosphere and positive experience, and how well it meshed with his own personality and can-do attitude. Sean furthered his passion by completing a competitive Physical Therapy Residency, focusing on the treatment of neurological conditions including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, concussions, and vestibular disorders. Sean has a particular interest in motor learning and teaching people of all abilities and aptitudes to acquire new skills. Sean combined his love of teaching and learning as a lab Instructor at two universities, providing clinical education to multiple doctoral candidates. While there are many exciting aspects to rehabilitation, relationships with patients will always come first to Sean. Clinical excellence, he believes, can only be deployed in a healthy therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual understanding. When he’s not learning new techniques for his patients, Sean is learning new steps for the dance floor. Sean is a member of the Big Apple Lindy Hoppers, a vintage dance team local to Manhattan. You can catch Sean performing with the team, choregraphing wedding dances, or teaching lessons to beginners. Sean also enjoys biking, hiking, architecture, and making music with friends.
